These are the confessions of a Halloween junkie. I admit it. I'm a Halloween nut. What started as a "kid" thing, took on a life of its own. The kids grew up but continued to come back home with friends to find just the right costume and look. Halloween had become our special "holiday."

Over a twenty year span I hand-made, literally, hundreds of costumes. Many were made from commercial patterns but with added embellishments. Others were products of the imagination. They range from the traditional spooky characters we all know and love, to the rather whimsical and humorous.

Eventually I began to take theatrical costuming and makeup courses at the local university to hone my costuming skills. And of course all these wonderful costumes had to have just the right props, wigs and accessories to complete them.

My walk-in costume closet was soon overflowing into the spare bedroom. Then into the second spare bedroom, and finally into every nook and cranny where there was space to be found. We were surrounded by glaring masks, instruments of torture, and severed body parts. *EG*

Every year my family and friends knew they would have to submit to my latest "theme". *smile* We often went out in groups of six or more and it was a rare year we did not win a prize or two in the course of our night out. One year we were a Box of Crayons, another year a Deck of Cards, and still another year, assorted Fruit and Candy. And sometimes we just went out "a la carte".

This site chronicles my ever changing costume collection. I hope you enjoy them and will perhaps get an idea for your own costume this coming Halloween.

November 2008
THANK YOU to all my Ebay customers, new and old, over the years!
I have taken a rest from sewing for a while, except for family,
but may be back after my respite. When that happens, I will post
here to let you all know ahead of time. I have greatly appreciated
your comments and patronage.

If you have a creation of your own you would like to share as an inspiration to others, send in a picture.
It will go into the Rogues Gallery with full credit.

And now grab a candle and follow me into my bizarre bazaar...
